Video game engine maker Unity struck a deal with film director Peter Jackson to buy Weta Digital - the visual effects studio behind "The Lord of the Rings" saga - for about $ 1.6 billion, including cash. and actions.
The deal includes tools, technology and engineering personnel, both companies said in a statement Tuesday.
