The West Kowloon Court received a suspicious powder letter, and the Police Crime Squad is following up the investigation.
At about 4 pm today (11th), the police received a report from the security of the court building, stating that they had received a suspicious letter with white powder in it.
Staff from the Explosives Disposal Division arrived at the scene to check and believed that the powder contained no hazardous ingredients and was taken away for further inspection.
It is understood that the letter was sent to Zhang Jieyi, the deputy judge of the District Court, and the powder was suspected to be the powder of the brothers after inspection.
The case was classified as criminal intimidation and was handed over to Sham Shui Po District Crime Squad 2 for follow-up. No one has been arrested yet.
In the incident, 12 people needed to be evacuated and no one was injured.
It is understood that the letter was sent to Zhang Jieyi, deputy judge of the District Court.
