More precisely, it is about a hitherto unsolved murder case.

In 1992, the then 30-year-old Lieselotte "Lissy" Lauer from Haundorf in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district * fell victim to a violent crime.

At least that's what the police and the public prosecutor assume.

Lauer disappeared without a trace on July 1, 1992.

As the Police Headquarters Middle Franconia * writes, she finished her late shift at the SEL company in Gunzenhausen around midnight and drove home to her apartment, Am Mehlacker 2 in Haundorf.

However, she must have left her apartment shortly afterwards before she might return in the morning, around eight o'clock.

The young woman was last seen around 10.30 a.m. in downtown Gunzenhausen.

Two days later, on July 3rd, her orange Ford Fiesta was found in a parking lot on the western outskirts of Gunzenhausen, the so-called “Steingass parking lot”.
