A deliberation on January 21

This attack of fifteen people with masked faces, claimed by the extreme right group "

", had occurred almost seven years to the day after the death of the young anti-fascist activist Clément Méric, on June 5, 2013, during a brawl in Paris between extreme left activists and extreme right skinheads.

For the three other defendants, also aged in their twenties, the prosecutor requested an acquittal for the facts of "

violence

" and "

degradation

", acknowledging that the file did not include "

any element to demonstrate

" their presence at the scene.

For one of them, he is also asking for a two-month suspended sentence for refusing to communicate the code of his cell phone.

At the start of the hearing, the lawyers for the five defendants requested the annulment of the entire procedure, which they said was flawed, a request which will be examined by the court at the same time as the merits of the case.

The decision was put under advisement on January 21.
