The project:

A private house with a pool in the center of the country

Space:

350 sqm (built)

Tenants: couple + 4

Interior design:

Nitzan Horowitz Studio for interior design

Carpentry:

Tomer and David Sheetrit

Olam The houses are designed according to the current trend, but there are those who prefer to concentrate on temporary design, such as interior designer Nitzan Horowitz who is responsible for the design and planning of a private house in the center of the country, to which a family with 4 children recently moved. "

Non-trendy, classic - black, white and gray with touches of color.

We brought color to the house through colorful furniture, a combination of pop works and colorful art - an Israeli plot and an international plot, "says Horowitz.

The care of the house included a massive renovation of the building and the yard, which also received a new treatment and an interesting point of view from the designer.

"We redesigned the yard so that it was divided into areas that we treated just like the house itself. There is an entrance with a foyer, there is a living area, there is a kitchen and so on - like at home, just outside. The yard is re-covered with marble tiles, the pool was renovated with large granite tiles "Especially, and we kept the color of the house, which is non-colored. The appearance of the yard is very monochromatic, when we add the color by vegetation."

"Inside the house we experience a similar experience - the house itself is a monochromatic platform with colorful focal points reflected in furniture and art, the same idea that was outside, only with different elements. The ground floor is the public space of the house, divided into areas, but not clearly. Defined by lighting and design functions, the public space functions as a spice in a monochromatic design as well, which includes a kitchen imported from Italy.

Surprising touches of color.

The colorfulness that Horowitz is talking about can be seen, for example, in the dining area.

"The table was brought by customers from their previous home abroad," he says, adding, "We only attached chairs designed by an Israeli designer to a French company.

Each chair is chosen in a different shade from the same family of colors and there are 3 types of chairs from the same design family.

The colors and the design line are preserved in all the furniture items on the floor, which were imported from abroad.

Suddenly, a boom of color.

The monochromatic design line is also maintained in other parts of the house.

"Each space was treated very individually with special furniture items and custom marble cladding, all in the same design line and combining colors of black and white. The desire was to create a classic, harmonious home with a very long shelf life. The couple has 4 children of different ages and continue to grow at home "A house that they will not have to touch in the coming years, which means that we also treated the 4-year-old girl's room as if it were a teenager's room," says the designer.

Grooves in the wood create a pleasant texture.

As a result, 5 suites were created in the house that are used by the family members, while the parents have a master suite.

"We designed the master's master bedroom as it is divided into areas - closet space, free bed in the space and sitting area. The bed is very large with a back built like wings on both sides and the seating area is placed near the window so that comfortable mobility is created in the space. "From the carpentry in the room in zero line, with the wall itself covered in wood with a pleasant texture created by grooves in the wood. In the bathroom we used black marble cladding combined with white porcelain granite and custom carpentry items, as well as its sanitary ware," Horowitz concludes.
