Mexico did not disappoint against Honduras 2:20
(CNN Spanish) -
With the stellar clash between Mexico and the United States, leader and escort respectively, the Concacaf qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup will have a new double date between Friday and Tuesday, the last of the year.
With 6 games played, the "Tri" led by Gerardo Martino is leading the way with 14 points, 3 more than the United States, whom he will visit this Friday in the most outstanding match of day 7 of the qualifying rounds.
Canada, which is third with 10 points and so far is the last classified directly to Qatar, will be local to Costa Rica, which with 6 units is fifth and cannot miss many more opportunities to add.
Panama is the fourth team in the standings with 8 points and, for now, they should play a playoff to settle the World Cup qualification.
The team led by the Danish Thomas Christiansen will visit Honduras, last in the classification with only 3 units.
It will be the debut of Colombian Hernán "Bolillo" Gómez as coach of the Hondurans.
