In the fight against the corona pandemic, Bavaria's Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann wants to crack down on it.

The CSU politician made this clear in an interview with Merkur.de.

Munich - Bavaria's Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann wants to intervene more consistently if the Corona requirements are violated.

If “Corona requirements are not strictly adhered to, we will help with focus and random checks.

There are also units of the Bavarian riot police available to support this, ”Herrmann told

Minister of State, the 2G rule has been in force in Free State for discos and clubs since Sunday.

3G plus is now available in restaurants and hairdressers.

In the past few months, however, there have been repeated reports about the too lax implementation of the Corona requirements.

Are there any considerations to use the Bavarian police more intensively for such controls?

Where necessary, health authorities and the police will significantly increase controls.

Especially if there are indications that the Corona * guidelines are not strictly adhered to, we will help with focus and spot checks.

Units of the Bavarian riot police are available to support this.

How exactly do you have to imagine the controls by the police in practice: Do the officers then check the vaccination records on the mobile phone at the disco counter or in the entrance area?

The health department and the police have to decide on a case-by-case basis.

Of course, the police will check the relevant evidence, i.e. whether there is any evidence or whether it is possibly forged.

This also includes comparing the personal details, for example with an identification document.

What penalties are there for guests who are in the disco or club despite the lack of a vaccination?

These people put the lives of others at risk because of the incalculable risk of infection.

The catalog of fines stipulates a standard rate of 250 euros if there is no proof of vaccination.

Forged vaccination cards can constitute criminal offenses such as forgery of documents.

Even imprisonment is possible here.

The main aim of the random checks are, however, the operators of cinemas or discos, the organizers of concerts, etc. They are obliged to check the evidence.

What do club operators have to adjust to who have waved through unvaccinated guests, what threats restaurant operators who have also accepted a simple quick test as evidence instead of a PCR test?

Organizers, operators and restaurateurs who do not live up to their responsibility must expect high fines.

Especially in the event of a recurrence, there is also a closure in the room.

That would then be the “most painful” sanction.
