A 21-year-old young man was indicted and imprisoned Friday, November 12 for "
kidnapping and forcible confinement followed by death
" after the discovery of the body of a man Thursday in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère (Drôme), said the prosecutor of Valence.

The autopsy carried out on November 12 in the morning by the forensic institute of Grenoble makes it possible to determine that the victim was the subject of numerous violence caused by a blunt object and a bladed weapon,
" he said. in a press release.
Unemployed since April and a former voluntary assistant gendarme, the suspect, who as it stands disputes the facts, was arrested on Wednesday and then placed in police custody like two people from his close entourage thereafter.
The latter have since been exonerated and left free.
The locations of the arrests were not disclosed.

Chartered accountant in Porte-lès-Valence (Drôme), the victim, whose age was not specified, nor his relations with the suspect, had not given any news to his family since November 3.
His disappearance was reported four days later to the gendarmes.
The latter found his car on Wednesday and discovered traces of blood in the trunk of the vehicle but also at the victim's home.
