Tuesday, November 9, no less than 103 ships - including 81 giant container ships - were waiting to unload their goods at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the largest in the United States.
And 65 ships were docked, which is the maximum capacity of these ports.
For many months now, the Marine Exchange company has been taking stock of the state of congestion in California ports, the main entry points for Chinese goods into the country.
The situation is so delicate that President Joe Biden got personally involved by meeting with heads of California ports, carriers and distributors.
