- Due to an accident on the A 99 in the direction of Salzburg, many people had to prove their patience on the way to work in a traffic jam.

At around 5.30 a.m., shortly after the Vaterstetten rest area, there was a rear-end collision in the middle lane of the motorway.

One car noticed the truck driving in front of it too late, presumably due to the heavy fog, and could no longer brake and crashed into it.

So it comes from information from the police.

The driver of the car, a 26-year-old from the district of Munich, hit the tractor-trailer with such force that the front of his vehicle was badly damaged.

He could no longer clear the scene of the accident on his own.

Long traffic jam

Large amounts of gasoline leaked and the lane could not be opened to traffic for over an hour, so that traffic could only be driven on via the left lane.

This created a strong backwater.

The total damage was around 22,000 euros.

The Hohenbrunn motorway maintenance depot was on site to secure the accident site and to clean the road.

Those involved were unharmed.
