The European Agency in charge of Epidemiological Diseases announced that the epidemiological situation regarding the outbreak of the new Corona virus continues to deteriorate in ten countries of the European Union and has become very worrying.
AFP quoted the agency as saying today that "the epidemiological situation in the European Union is currently witnessing a rapid and significant increase in injuries, with a low mortality rate, but it is slowly rising."
And the Stockholm-based agency expected that injuries, hospitalizations and the number of deaths would all increase in the next two weeks.
The agency included Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary and Slovenia in the category of most concern, while Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Romania and Slovakia were included in the category of concern.
The agency's approach is based on a combination of absolute numbers (the number of injuries, hospitalizations and deaths) and their recent development.
