The State promotes its “made in France” apps

But today, the French state is trying to convince its officials to opt instead for tools developed by the French administration. Tools that are supposed to be safer and more efficient. But today, the French state is trying to convince its officials to opt instead for tools developed by the French administration.

Tools that are supposed to be safer and more efficient.

As part of the Tech.gouv program, launched in 2019, the Interministerial Digital Directorate (Dinum) was tasked with developing these tools.

It now offers a

"public official's digital backpack"

(SNAP), comprising six digital applications allowing

"to support the new hybrid working methods of the administration"

.

Among these solutions is the instant messaging Tchap, launched in April 2019. This service is one of the first to have been deployed, to ensure end-to-end encrypted conversations.

It is in a way the

"WhatsApp of the agent of the State"
