The case of Israelis detained in Turkey: The couple Natalie and the Oknin rebels from Modi'in will be brought before a judge today who is expected to order their deportation from the country without filing an indictment against the two

Progress in the detainees' case:

A senior Turkish official who details the case spoke with "Israel Today" and referred to the arrest of the couple Natalie and the Oknin rebels from Modi'in, after photographing Turkish President Erdogan's palace and saying: "The Israeli couple will arrive in Israel today."

The two will be brought before a judge today for a hearing and apparently he is expected to order their deportation from the country without filing an indictment against the two.

As you may recall, yesterday we published in "Israel Today" that the couple came for a tour of the Istanbul communications tower that opened last year, where they photographed and documented the landscapes.

They documented Erdogan's residence area, less than four kilometers away - and presented the documents to each other.

At this point, a waiter working in the tower, who heard the couple talking to each other about a photo of Erdogan's residence, reported it to the Istanbul police.

Last night, a senior Turkish official told Israel Today that "a waiter working in the tower reported suspicious behavior on their part."

He said, "The Israeli consulate in Istanbul is dealing with the issue. I estimate that they will be released tomorrow."

Following this, according to local reports, the security unit of the Presidential Residence and the police in the fight against terrorism of Istanbul entered into operation.

The husband and wife were arrested and taken to the facility of the Istanbul Anti-Terrorism Police.

Once their questioning has apparently ended, the prosecution is expected to sue for their deportation.

In a conversation with Israel Today yesterday, Eran Perry, the brother of the Israeli who was arrested in Turkey, said: "We are currently in uncertainty and there is misinformation. On the one hand they say they will be deported and on the other they say there is a chance to extend their detention whole".
