US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Kenya, Nigeria and Senegal next week, where he will discuss ending the Covid-19 pandemic and tackling climate change, his spokesperson said. Thursday 11 November.

He will meet with the president of each of these countries to "
advance the collaboration between the United States and Africa on their common global priorities
," State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.
Other topics, such as the revitalization of democracies, the promotion of peace and security, or on how to make the world economy more inclusive, will also be discussed during this trip scheduled from Monday to Saturday, a specified Ned Price.
Blinken will first travel to Nairobi, where he will meet Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and other government officials, and will insist on US support for a peaceful election in 2022. He will then travel to Abuja, where he will meet the President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari and deliver a speech on US policy in Africa.
He will end his trip in Dakar, where he will meet Senegalese President Macky Sall.
