Thuringians should be able to get immunized against the corona virus in 23 regional vaccination centers in the country even after the turn of the year.
The state government has agreed to initially keep the vaccination centers open until April, Thuringia's Minister of Health Heike Werner (left) told the German Press Agency on Friday.
Erfurt - It is currently not possible to foresee whether a further extension will be necessary.
The demand for vaccinations had recently risen again after the country approved so-called booster vaccinations for everyone for whom a corona vaccine is approved.
As of Friday, 109,440 people had already been given a booster vaccination in Thuringia, as Werner's ministry announced.
This corresponds to a share of 5.2 percent.
In a nationwide comparison, the Free State has the fourth-best rate.
