"The rush is gigantic," says the medical director, Dr.
Matthias Skrzypczak.
Last week there were 400 to 500 vaccinations per day, explains the doctor.
As a result, longer queues often formed in front of the center.
In order to prevent this from happening in the future, the district office, as the operator of the vaccination center, has switched back to making appointments for the vaccinations.
More young people
Most of the immunizations are booster vaccinations.
But the proportion of those who pick up their first prick has also increased.
Skrzypczak estimates it to be about a third of all those who want to be vaccinated.
Noticeable: There are more and more young people among the candidates for the first vaccination.
Looking for administrative staff
In order to be able to meet the increased demand, the capacities in the vaccination center are now being expanded.
“We hire new employees every day,” says Matthias Skrzypczak.
That's why there are always new, free appointments added.
We are also looking for people who want to work in the administration of the center.

In general, the requirements of the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) are followed with regard to the booster vaccination in the vaccination center.
