Munich - The corona situation in Bavaria is getting worse.

The hospital traffic light is red, numerous intensive care units are already full and in Munich they cannot keep up with the processing of new infections and have therefore asked the Bundeswehr for help.

The Bavarian cabinet will therefore discuss the current situation on Tuesday.

According to information from the

BR

, it is even considered to declare a disaster.

Many industries are struggling with the new restrictions.

This also results in new rules for hairdressing salons.

Corona rules in Bavaria: New restrictions - this applies in hairdressing salons

Due to the increasing corona cases in Bavaria, the hospital traffic light first switched to yellow and then to red on Monday.

In many areas, therefore, tightened restrictions apply.

The 3G plus rule now applies to body-hugging services.

This also includes hairdressers.

Means: Unvaccinated people who come to have their hair cut must present a negative PCR test *.

A rapid antigen test or a supervised self-test are no longer sufficient evidence.

In addition, customers now have to wear an FFP2 mask * instead of a medical surgical mask.

However, the mask may be removed in exceptional cases, for example when shaving a beard.

Last year there was one more rule for visiting the hairdresser.

Washing the hair was mandatory before going to the hairdresser.

This time the government does not apply this restriction.

How individual salons handle this, however, must be inquired on site.

The expert expects high sales losses in the companies

With the 3G-plus rule, the highest escalation level for hairdressers has been reached, says Doris Ortlieb, the managing director of the state guild association of the Bavarian hairdressing trade, the

BR

.

Since, apart from a few individual cases, there has been no notable infection occurrence in the salons, she considers the measures to be "completely disproportionate and excessive."

Ortlieb does not believe that unvaccinated customers will spend 60 euros or more on a PCR test before going to the hairdresser.

She therefore expects the existence of a loss of up to 30 percent in turnover in the companies: “That is ruinous for the company.” The new rules also mean that unvaccinated employees in the salons must now show a negative PCR test twice a week.

Ortlieb has little understanding for this, as she

informed

the

BR

.

The vaccination status is actually a private matter.

At the Bavarian Ministry of Health, she is now working to ensure that at least employers do not have to pay for the costs of their employees' PCR tests.

Editor's note:

In the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, November 9th, it was decided that employees in the hospitality industry and in body-hugging services (such as hairdressing salons) no longer need a PCR test.

A simple quick test is sufficient here.
