Between September 11 and 18, 2020, they increased the number of crimes in Essonne, Seine-et-Marne and in Yvelines.

This Friday, two defendants aged 24 and 26, who appeared detained, were sentenced to five years in prison for this series of robberies with violence and burglaries on repeat.

Facts that they denied throughout the investigation, before acknowledging everything this Friday during their hearing before the criminal court of Évry-Courcouronnes (Essonne).

This series of misdeeds starts with a car-jacking in Mée-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne).

On September 11, 2020 at around 12:30 a.m., a man parks his car and returns home when he is approached by two hooded and armed men who ask him for the keys to his Citroën C5.

But the man does not allow himself to be done.

He is then gassed and receives a punch which makes him fall to the ground.

A gun to his mouth, he finally gave up his car keys.

Ten hours later, the two criminals go to Etang-la-Ville (Yvelines).

They stop the C5 in front of a delivery van and hold up the driver, before leaving with around 40 packages.

Chased on the Ile-de-France by a victim

Their journey is not over.

In the afternoon of September 11, they commit two burglaries in pavilions of Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil (Essonne) where they steal more than 15,000 euros of money and jewelry.

During the second break-in, they are surprised by the owner who puts them to flight and chases them by car on the Ile-de-France then the A5 where he loses sight of them.

Three days later, the fine team did it again in Mennecy, where two houses were broken into, then in Villemoisson, still in Essonne.

The loot, which exceeds 13,000 euros, includes wine and jewelry.

There is also an Audi A5, a luxury car that will be found burnt down on September 18 in Saclay.

A final burglary was committed on September 16 in Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil.

"I had a debt, they put pressure on me"

The two accomplices were arrested on September 19, 2020 in flagrante delicto by the police of Versailles. In their car, most of the items stolen from previous burglaries were found. This Friday, they finally recognized their responsibility. “I had just come out of prison, I had a debt, they put pressure on me. It's the only way I have found: working is too long, ”explains the younger of the two. "This argument cannot be heard," retorts the president of the court. We advance by respecting the law and by working, not by aggressing. But the court is happy to see that you stop denying the obvious. "

The other defendant, also convicted of having smoked cannabis ... in his custody cell, conceded having followed his friend "out of greed."

Since then, I have had an awareness, I have thought of the victims.

At the time, I might not have been mature enough.

I apologize to all the victims.

I thought about a lot of things and understood that this is not how we are going to be successful in our lives.
