Al-Hasakah-SANA
The Sawa Youth Project of the Al-Mawadda Charitable Association in Al-Hasakah implemented a community entertainment initiative “Be Stronger” for children with cancer, in cooperation with the branch of the Syrian Association for the Treatment and Care of Children’s Cancer.
The initiative, which was implemented in the Sawa Youth Center in Al-Mardian neighborhood in the city of Hasaka, included the distribution of gifts for children and winter clothes, and theatrical and lyrical performances. smile and reintegrate them properly, stressing that these initiatives will be periodic to include all children with cancer through coordination and cooperation with the branch of the Syrian Society for the Treatment and Care of Child Cancer.
For his part, the director of the Syrian Society for the Treatment of Child Cancer, Muhammad Al-Salem, indicated that the initiative included 40 children with cancer patients registered on the association’s restrictions, noting its importance because it removes the affected children from the atmosphere of disease and injury to be stronger by focusing on their psychological state and thus placing them in an atmosphere appropriate their childhood by giving gifts, games and watching theatrical and singing performances.
The father of the sick child, Abd al-Wahhab Kanhoush, from al-Shaddadi, pointed out the importance of continuing to implement such initiatives because they restore children's self-confidence and mitigate the effects of the disease on them, praising the efforts of those in charge of such activities, which reflect a high sense of humanity and responsibility towards children to lead their lives normally.
