Israeli lawyer Nir Jaslovitch, representing the family of a couple of Israelis detained in Turkey, arrived in Istanbul this morning (Saturday), where he will meet with local lawyers to try to secure their release.
This is after it became known yesterday that the court decided to extend their detention by 20 days.
At the same time, the Israeli consul will also try to meet with the two, who were arrested on Thursday after they allegedly photographed the palace of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Today, the family of Natalie and the Oknin rebels will launch a mass recruitment campaign to fund their legal battle.
The funds raised in the campaign will also be used to fund the travel and stay imposed on the couple, Egged drivers living in Modiin, due to the legal entanglement they got into.
Meanwhile, family members were advised to reduce their level of media exposure.
