Dozens of Palestinians, during a solidarity stand in the city of Jenin in the West Bank yesterday evening, called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to intervene urgently to save the lives of prisoners in Israeli occupation detention centers.
The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil organized by the Palestinian prisoners' institutions and national forces raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of the martyrs and prisoners and demanded the recovery of the bodies of the martyrs and the immediate release of the prisoners who are subjected to brutal violations in the Israeli occupation prisons amid deliberate medical neglect.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
