Coronavirus operations have increased - the rescue service is overloaded

Bavarian aid organizations are now sounding the alarm. "The rescue service * is overloaded, necessary operations have to be postponed or relocated at short notice, the incidences are rising massively and new highs are being announced every day," said the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (JUH) and the Malteser-Hilfsdienst (MHD) in a joint statement on Friday. The number of corona patient transports in the rescue service has increased almost fourfold in the past four months, said BRK President Theo Zellner.
