The leadership of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party Organization in Sweden, in cooperation with the Syrian Embassy in Stockholm, organized an intellectual symposium in the city of Västerås today on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the glorious corrective movement led by the founding leader Hafez al-Assad.
The participants in the symposium shed light on the corrective movement and its achievements and the terrorist war on Syria and its methods and means aimed at destroying the Syrian state and undermining the independence of its political decision and national sovereignty, as well as the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and the colonial West on the Syrian people.
In their speeches during the symposium, the organization's secretary, Joseph Issa, and members of the organization's leadership, Elias Jabbour and Darius Filo, drew attention to the steadfastness of Syria's people, army and leadership in the face of the terrorist war it was exposed to.
In turn, the Chargé d'Affairs, Minister Counselor Dr. Tamim Malko, gave a political presentation that dealt with the recent developments in Syria and their repercussions at all levels, referring to the reconstruction process and the role of expatriates in it, in light of Investment Law No. 18 of 2021, pointing to the facilities and consular services provided to expatriates at all levels. In light of the laws and regulations in force, and the embassy's constant endeavor to develop its performance to serve the public interest.
The symposium was attended by First Secretary Ihab Al-Youssef, Attache Ibrahim Khafif, a number of heads of expatriate activities, and a large number of expatriates from various Swedish cities.
