The interventions of the participants in the annual conference of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation in Lattakia, which was held today in Dar Al-Assad for Culture, focused on the necessity of providing training requirements for various sports and supporting clubs to improve their sports reality.
Ruba Hakim, head of the Basketball Technical Committee in the governorate, called for supporting and increasing club investments, which would reflect positively on developing the players' level, in addition to increasing the training of basketball teams in order to develop the skills of their players.
Dr. Firas Husseinou, a teacher at the Faculty of Physical Education, pointed out the necessity of coordinating with the committees supervising school sports to discover talents and obligating clubs to have specialists in sports work.
Muhammad Salim, a member of the Special Sports Federation, called for activating the Wounded Homeland and equipping it to be a sports and social forum for the wounded in partnership with the Wounded Homeland project.
Firas Maalla, head of the General Sports Federation, indicated that the necessary support will be provided to the clubs, including Al-Haffah and Al-Qardaha, in order to return to their glory and role in supplying sports with talents, maintenance of gymnasiums and securing their requirements.
Mualla added that the basketball hall in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia will be ready within ten days, and this is a great achievement for the Syrian basketball.
During the conference, a documentary film was shown that reviewed the most important sports achievements in the governorate in all local, Arab and international tournaments.
