A Los Angeles court released singer Britney Spears last night (Friday-Saturday) from a nearly 14-year guardianship.
In this way, control of her life, money and property finally returns to her.
Britney fans celebrated outside the courtroom.
Spears said after the decision: "This is the best day of my life. I think I'm going to cry all day. I love my fans so much."
About a month and a half ago, a court in Los Angeles ruled that Britney Spears' father, James, would not be the guardian of his singer daughter, and would not manage her assets - which are valued at about $ 60 million.
The father sought to end his role as the singer's guardian following public pressure and sharp investigations.
"Recent events have cast doubt on whether circumstances have changed to such an extent that there is no longer any ground for the existence of guardianship," the petition said.
