The young people in Geretsried have elected a new parliament: three young women and nine young men belong to it.

For the third time in total, the young people elected an interest group. According to the town hall, 170 of those eligible to vote who were written to in 1927 took part. The election took place digitally over a period of about four weeks. Most of the votes were given to 18-year-old Mathis Tomsu, who is training to be a carpenter, closely followed by Laura Wimmer, who is of the same age and attends the St. Matthias high school in Waldram. Dzhamil Garib (16), Dimitrij Leinert (16), Rares Nistora (15), Dominik Schmid (16), Jonathan Kübler (15) and Michael Springer (15) were also elected. The youngest in the group are Eric Buchalik and Alexander Eigenseer at the age of 14, the oldest are the students Isabella Schrills (20) and Sabrina Lorenz (21), for whom it is already the second term of office.Yasar Gencer (19) and Aslan Cetin (15) failed to make the leap to the youth council. Reopening of the dirt park
Mayor Müller thanked the old youth councils and congratulated the new members of the committee, which is elected for two years.
"You will approach this matter with a lot of expectation and a lot of vigor," he said.
It is his great wish to be able to take up topics.
"We want to give the youth council an even stronger position," announced Müller.
At the top of the youngsters' wish list is the reopening of the dirt park.

CSU constituency member Bachhuber also congratulated the youth councils and chatted up close and personal.
He told the youngsters that he was the class representative, chief administrator and captain of football.
"Maybe I was a little cheeky," he admitted.
“Then take responsibility,” he was told along the way.

But the most important thing is that you have the courage to make yourself available as a candidate and take on an office.
