I'd rather be because of positive things.
I find it uncomfortable that the incidences pay us this attention.
But in our dire situation I am grateful to be able to reach the citizens through the media.
Does the current disaster make your work easier?
Yes.
This helps enormously, for example, with our application to get military support in the hospital.
We can also acquire volunteers with continued wages from their employer.

How is it currently in Agatharied?
During the most recent conversation with the chief physician, tears came to me.
The intensive care unit is absolutely sealed.
The staff is at the limit.
There have already been a few breakthroughs in vaccination and thus quarantine cases and patients have already had to be sent home.
Many operations have to be canceled, which then require a bed in the intensive care unit.
In the area of emergency patients, we can hold a maximum of air for one person.
It's so dramatic that it gives me goose bumps.
Do you have to fear a new lockdown?
Personally, I wouldn't rule it out anymore.
What do you mean?
I don't think that will happen quickly at the federal level.
But I don't know anymore whether it is still possible if it continues like this.
How can you get the 7-day incidence back down now?
Further tightening will apply from Monday.
Otherwise: vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate!
The situation has never been as serious as it is now.

Do you advocate compulsory vaccination?
Absolutely.
The vaccination requirements, such as for smallpox or measles, have led to success.
The Prime Minister Markus Söder is said to consider a general vaccination requirement to be unenforceable.
It can be.
But I'm getting tired of these enforceability discussions.
Of course you have to check acceptance.
But, it's not about any disease, it's about life and death.
A compulsory vaccination for certain occupational groups would be the minimum.
Some criticize that the current restrictions are already a hidden vaccination requirement ...
Then we'd rather do it clean and clear on my own terms: mandatory vaccination for everyone.
Have the past restrictions with regard to vaccination already borne fruit?
Yes.
You can see that the first vaccinations are picking up speed again.
I notice that many people get vaccinated out of fear of the restrictions.
Is there a need for an advertising campaign for vaccination?
It would be desirable and I am open to many things in this regard.
But right now we as an authority are not able to do something like this on our own.
