Today, the Iraqi forces launched a large-scale security operation in the Hamrin mountain range from eight axes to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization (ISIS).
The operation, which was carried out by the Diyala Operations Sector Command of the Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization Forces, included the area between Baghdad-Kirkuk Road and Qara Tabbah Road in the Hamrin mountain range in Diyala Governorate.
The operation was carried out with the support of the Iraqi Air Force, based on intelligence information and daily observations, to track down ISIS cells that carried out numerous crimes against civilians.
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remnants of (ISIS) terrorists in various Iraqi regions, and have eliminated and arrested large numbers of them.
