Karwendelbahn: again a fait accompli

There is neither a building application nor a permit for a brewery in the nature reserve.

Nevertheless, the preparations for this at the Karwendelbahn are in full swing.

Now a helicopter flew the necessary utensils to the mountain station.

Another provocation for the district office and Markt Mittenwald.

Mittenwald

- The policy of the fait accompli by the main shareholders from Heidenheim is cheerfully continued in Mittenwald. "We are pleased that the project, Germany's highest brewery, has now begun," said the controversial board member of the Karwendelbahn, Wolfgang W. Reich, in a press release.

A project that, like the unapproved schnapps distillery, is to be implemented in the Karwendelbahn mountain station in the nature reserve without consulting the responsible authorities. And Reich, who is in permanent clinic with the market town of Mittenwald and the lead district office, leaves no doubt that he will not speak to these two offices. It is believed that “no building permit is required to operate a 5-hectolitre brewery plant,” the daily newspaper said. Even more: "As we have already informed you, we have acquired a brewery system and will put it into practice accordingly."

Another affront to the District Office, which even knew about the most recent helicopter flights. "In fact, the market town of Mittenwald had informed us," said press spokesman Wolfgang Rotzsche. But no employee was reportedly on site.

Also in the town hall one could only notice increased helicopter noise over Mittenwald last Wednesday. "We have no knowledge and have not been informed," confirms Mayor Enrico Corongiu (SPD). Similar to his predecessor Adolf Hornsteiner (CSU), he is now an undesirable person at the Heidenheimer Reich Group, which had bought into Karwendelbahn AG a few years ago and has been waging a guerrilla war against the market community (second largest shareholder) since then. But a gondola ban by Reich and Co. was recently pronounced not only against almost the entire town hall administration, but also against employees of the district office. At the moment it is difficult to get to the mountain station at 2244 meters.Because the operation is currently dormant due to the annual autumn inspection - the best time for construction projects.

Regardless of this, the spokesman for the authorities Rotzsche confirms in connection with the brewing facility planned in the restaurant: “A building application has not yet been submitted to either the Mittenwald market or the district administration.” However, a placet is absolutely necessary.

Rotzsche mentions a request from Karwendelbahn AG about this.

The company was then informed in writing "that the documents (floor plan) submitted to us in advance with regard to the use of the restaurant in the mountain station are no longer included in the grandfathering and are therefore subject to approval by the building authorities".

So it couldn't be any clearer.

The addressees in Heidenheim, however, have their own point of view - nothing new.

Take, for example, the illegal camping site in Schwarzenfeld or the black-built mobile home at the Karwendelbahn valley station.
