Traffic at the intersection of Pucher and Puchermühlstrasse is currently regulated by a provisional traffic light.

The actual system was destroyed in an accident.

After three months, the anger about the temporary solution grows.

Fürstenfeldbruck

- On August 2, the accident left clear marks at the intersection. The traffic light was so destroyed that it could no longer be used. It has been removed and replaced by a mobile traffic light. But that poses a big problem, as local resident Josef Bierling reports: "This temporary solution is particularly annoying for pedestrians, as it is in the middle of the footpath." Parents with prams in particular, especially twin prams, can no longer get through and have to get onto the road evade.

Bierling cannot understand that the temporary solution has now been in operation for more than three months.

He found out something else when he set up the makeshift traffic light.

"The provisional traffic light was set up on the day after the accident," reports the Brucker.

According to the technician, repairs should be carried out within the next two to three days.

But nothing more has happened to this day.

Green arrow is missing

Another annoyance for Bierling is that the green arrow for those turning right is missing from the original traffic light.

In addition, the temporary was switched on around the clock for a long time, although the intersection was not too busy - especially at night.

The few cars would have often had to stop at the red light and then start again, which would have led to a lot of noise.

After all: "Since the Leonhardiritt, the traffic lights have been off again at night."

Nevertheless, Bierling wonders when the temporary solution will finally be replaced by a permanently installed traffic light.

On the one hand, to improve safety for pedestrians again, and on the other hand, because running the temporary facility would certainly cost money.

in default

Bierling's inquiry to the city gave him no answers. Therefore, the Tagblatt checked again. Now it is said from the town hall that a company has actually been commissioned with the repair. But she has simply not started work yet. "The company is now in default," says town hall spokeswoman Tina Rodermund-Vogl. Since the mast was completely knocked over, a new foundation also has to be built, according to the town hall.

The costs for repairs and temporary fixtures, however, do not stay with the city.

"Since the person who caused the damage is known, all costs are passed on," says Rodermund-Vogl.

The only alternative to the temporary solution was not to regulate the traffic at the intersection with a traffic light.

But that was out of the question for the city administration.

It is not known when the company that has already been warned will actually start repairs.
