Today, fewer than 5 cases have been initially confirmed.


The Centre for Health Protection is investigating two new imported cases of new coronary pneumonia. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong has reached 12,381. In the past 14 days, 36 imported cases have been reported.

Two new imported cases were added today. Some patients developed symptoms before arriving in Hong Kong.

One of the new cases involves the L452R variant virus, and the test result of the other variant virus strain is yet to be determined.

The case involved two women, aged 49 and 65, who arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area (high risk) in Group A.

Both were diagnosed at the airport when they arrived in Hong Kong.

A 49-year-old female patient (No. 12385) took flight EK384 on November 11 and arrived in Hong Kong from Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates. She had developed sore throat symptoms on November 8 with the L452R variant virus, in April. I have received two doses of Fubitai vaccine in Hong Kong.

The 65-year-old female patient (No. 12386) took flight EK384 on November 11 and arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan via the United Arab Emirates. She was asymptomatic and had received two doses of Modena vaccine in Pakistan.

The center also reminded the specified persons related to the second section of Xiancheng House (Block H2) by the shore of Haicheng Lake in Discovery Bay to comply with the mandatory testing announcement tomorrow (14th) for testing.
