Seven World Cup qualifiers were held tonight (Saturday) in Europe, and at the end of them two teams - France and Belgium - secured the coveted ticket to the World Cup in Qatar 2022, when the Netherlands was also close but got entangled.
In the fourth house,
France walked the Parc des Princes with a light 0: 8 over the weak Kazakhstan.

In the seventh house, the
Netherlands were close to securing their place in Qatar when they led 0-2 over Montenegro with a pair of Memphis DePay (25, 54), but two quick goals from Ilya Vokotic (82) and Nikola Winovic (86) set up a points split in Podgorica, Which greatly complicates the Dutch, who may find themselves outside the World Cup towards the final round.
Earlier at home Turkey defeated Gibraltar 0: 6 and is now in second place, in a tie with Norway who finished tonight in a 0-0 home draw with Latvia.
Both have 18 points with the Netherlands in first place with 20 points.
