The body of Yanai Rimon, the Israeli traveler who was reported missing in Mexico, was found today (Saturday) during the searches conducted after him since the announcement of his absence.
Notice of his whereabouts was given to his family.
As you may recall, last Wednesday afternoon (according to Mexico time) a report was received that the hiker was swept away by a waterfall in the area of the town of Las Novas and has since been declared missing.
Upon receiving the call, local search and rescue forces were sent to the area.
A search and rescue team, flown in from the country to reinforce the search, included an aerial operating team.

The Israeli Consul in Mexico, Shmuel Eitan, and the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the insurance company PassportCard and the "MAGNUS Locating and Rescue" company, have been operating around the clock.
