The new edition of the Charity Bazaar (Colors of Syria) attracted a number of owners of small and micro enterprises from Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia, who displayed their traditional handicrafts and various types of industries, foodstuffs, cosmetics and decorations.

The bazaar was opened today in the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus, and its proceeds go to support the (Societe) Café project, which was launched by the Roots Association for Development and provides job opportunities for a number of adolescents and youth with Down syndrome, according to a member of the association’s board of directors, Rana Tabaa, indicating to SANA delegate that the new session of the bazaar was an opportunity for the participation of 120 young people. A young woman is one of the owners of small projects that need support in terms of securing presentation and marketing platforms, and they came from several governorates, expressing her hope to increase the number of participants from other governorates in the future.

A number of participants in the bazaar found an opportunity to introduce their work, where Iman Obry from Aleppo indicated that the participation contributes to the display of her products of hand-embroidered fabrics and the possibility of marketing them in Damascus, while Amal Abdullah Maraqbi from Lattakia considered that her participation is a new experience to communicate directly with a large number of customers, market her products and exchange experiences. With a number of craftsmen interested in the accessories business.

From Damascus, Marwa Tikriti and Walaa Mellah participated in a group of decorative works printed on paper and wood, considering that bazaars and exhibitions are an advertising opportunity for such works using modern techniques and to see the visitors' opinion of them directly.

From marketing through social media, Brick and Nicole Obeid move through the bazaar to direct marketing for their project of making accessories and decorative pieces, which began two years ago in Damascus, considering their participation as a qualitative step in expanding the types of marketing.

During their visit to the bazaar, Joel Traboulsi and Amani Hammouda drew attention to the quality of the products and their keeping up with the developments of the times while preserving the spirit and authenticity of heritage, stressing the need to support small projects and encourage young people to continue with them due to the suitable job opportunities they provide.
