The Syrian delegation participating in the work of the 41st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) met with the Assistant Director-General of the Organization for Science, Shamila Nirbuduel, and it was agreed to cooperate in the field of developing artificial intelligence education and supporting centers of excellence, especially in the field of mathematics, robotics and physics, as well as improving Learn science using 3D printing.
In the same context, the Syrian delegation, headed by the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Syrian National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, discussed, during his meeting with the UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Cultural Affairs Ernesto Orton, securing the necessary international support for the rehabilitation of archaeological areas, the return of stolen antiquities, and attention to intangible heritage.
The meetings held by the Syrian delegation also included a meeting with the Mauritanian Minister of Education, who praised Syria and its stances and interest in education, culture and science, and another with Venezuelan Minister of Education Plitsa Santaella, who confirmed her country's interest and standing by Syria.
It is noteworthy that the 41st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) started in Paris on the 9th of this November and will continue until the twenty-fourth of it. Including the fourth goal related to the quality of education, science, artificial intelligence, and the tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The Syrian delegation to Paris includes representatives from the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research, Culture and Information, and the Syrian Ambassador to UNESCO, Lamia Shakur.
