40 women and young women from As-Suwayda Governorate presented the products of their small projects for handicrafts within an exhibition organized by (Sabaya Ghair) group today in the hall of St. George Orthodox Church.

The exhibition, which continues until the 16th of this month, included various handicrafts such as bags, embroideries, wooden and copper artifacts, accessories, children's toys, dryers, soap manufacturing and food products for mortar, in addition to a number of drawings and other works.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Marah Al-Shaarani, the Women’s Support Department official in Sabaya Ghair Group, which is supervising the exhibition, pointed out the importance of the exhibition in displaying the participating women’s products, highlighting their ideas for work, and motivating them to continue developing their micro-enterprises.

Haba Mezher indicated that she is participating in the exhibition to present new things from her various food products related to household supplies, while Dima Al-Jaramani and her aunt Safaa Al-Jaramani found, by participating in the handicrafts of threads and nails fixed on wooden pieces, an opportunity to become more familiar with her, three years after the launch of their project.

Through her participation in a group of works, most notably the woolen bags, Fatina Abboud considered that the exhibition achieves a greater spread of her work and helps the participants exchange experiences, while Samah Kiwan stated that with her project of tailoring and sewing various bags of leather and shamo, she achieves herself and seeks through the exhibition to develop herself more.

Maysoon Al-Braihi indicated that her participation in exhibitions is for the first time, five months after launching her own project for designing accessories, with the aim of improving her financial income.

The two participants, Kinda Baraka and Ahlam Areej, pointed out the importance of the exhibition for them to expand their circle of knowledge and marketing of their products with accessories in these difficult circumstances, while Salam Al-Aysami and Abeer Al-Faqih expressed their happiness to participate in the exhibition and present paintings painted in various color technologies with a focus on the features of faces and human cases.
