Piotr Perzenowski, 30, was charged with smuggling and appeared this Saturday morning before Folkestone Magistrates Court in Kent.

"This is a really significant amount of the drug that was withdrawn from circulation," said NCA branch commander Mark Howes.

"The seizure will deprive the organized crime group responsible for them of profits that would have fueled further crime," Howes added.


"In collaboration with our partners, such as the Border Force, we will continue to fight the threat of class A drugs in our mission to protect the public," Howes said.

Perzenowski was placed on remand and is scheduled to appear in Canterbury Crown Court on December 13.
