An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the outskirts of Goim city, Fars Province, southern Iran, at dawn today.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Institute of Tehran University as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake was at the confluence of latitudes 28.27 and longitude 54.06 degrees, and at a depth of 7 kilometers from the surface of the earth.
Yesterday, an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Jam district, Bushehr province, southern Iran.
