At 5:36 am today (14), the police received a report that a private car was travelling eastbound on Leighton Road in Wan Chai. When it turned left to the junction of Matheson Street, it was suspected of hitting a 49-year-old man surnamed Huang who was crossing the road.
The private car fled later.
Upon receiving the report, the yellow man suffered head injuries and was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital. He was then transferred to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.
The police classified the case as a traffic accident where someone was injured-after the accident, they went to follow up and are tracking the whereabouts of the driver involved.
