A fire is raging this morning (Sunday) in the Maalot Tarshiha (Hacienda) forest in the north, houses from the nearby Yaffa Nof neighborhood were evacuated, but later the fire in the neighborhood was stopped.
There are currently 15 crews and six aircraft operating at the site.
11 more teams from Northern, Coast and Dan counties are on their way to the venue.

Uri Cohen, a spokesman for the northern district of the fire brigade, says: "We received reports of a large fire. We announced an evacuation on the first line. There are reports of businesses, houses and a nursery going up in flames. We started a district fire."
As you may recall, a number of fires broke out on Saturday in several hotspots across the country.
In Goita in the Galilee and Zeitan in the South, residents were evacuated from their homes and the fire was finally brought under control.
Many nature reserves have been closed to hikers in view of the situation.
The National Fire and Rescue Authority announced last night that control had been achieved in the prominent fire sites that ignited during the day, and that no danger was posed.
An initial inspection by fire investigators in the various arenas shows that some of the fires - in Goethe in the Galilee and Zeitan in the South - were caused by arson.
As for the fire in the olive grove, the possibility of negligence on the part of travelers was ruled out and from the initial point of view of the fire center it appears to be arson.
