An indictment was filed on Tuesday (Friday) against a resident of Beer Sheva, after extorting thousands of shekels from a man who threatened to distribute photos and videos of a sexual nature, which she obtained in conversations between the two.
According to the indictment filed by the Southern District Attorney's Office (criminal) through attorney Amit Ginat in the city district court, 38-year-old Natalie Zeitun exchanged intimate photos with the complainant. She later shared with him that she was in financial difficulties and asked him to help her financially. When the man refused her demand, she threatened to distribute his photos and videos.
Fearing that Zeitun would indeed carry out its threats and distribute the sensitive substances, he transferred NIS 3,001.30 to it.
According to the indictment, Zeitun later demanded an additional sum of money from him, this time for NIS 2,000, in order to delete the photos and videos.
In addition to the same amount, he transferred another NIS 1,524.83 to her.
Despite the large sums of money he transferred to her, Zeitoun continued to threaten the man that she would distribute the photos and videos, until he mustered up the courage to contact the police.
The prosecution wants to detain Natalie Zeitun until the end of the legal proceedings against her.
She is charged with the offense of extortion by threats.
