Thailand, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and other countries are already receiving tourists, more countries are expected to open very soon • We checked: where to fly and what to do

Following the opening trend in the world and the decline in morbidity rates in Asia, we have collected for you together with the tourism expert in Asia, Tom Landau, the conditions of entry into countries that have already been opened to Israeli tourists in Asia.

Where can you enter without isolation, what are the requirements and which countries are expected to open soon?

all the details

Thailand

As of November 1, vaccinated Israelis and children are allowed to enter Thailand without the need for isolation.

Everyone must present a negative corona test before the flight to the country and perform another test after landing, after which it is necessary to stay in a short isolation of only one night until receiving the answer to the test.

From the moment of receiving the negative answer, all of Thailand is open and can be moved around freely.

At the same time, the landers must issue a special permit called THAIPASS.

To issue the certificate you need a passport photo, immunization certificate, travel insurance up to $ 50,000 in case of infection in Corona and booking a SHA + hotel or any other hotel that meets the criteria for one night only (first night).

It is possible to order the package called Test & Go which also includes the test that is performed immediately after arrival and another independent test that must be performed on Friday and report its results (in some hotels you can order the package on arrival, it is important to check in advance).

In addition, there are hotels that offer a night plus test and go.

Anyone who has visited in the 21 days preceding the flight to Thailand in one of the countries whose successors are not allowed to enter Thailand, will not be able to enter Thailand even if entering through a permitted country for example, Israel.

The authorities at the airport will conduct a passport check to verify the matter.

Anyone found positive in Thailand will be required to be tested and in most cases will have to go into isolation at a local hospital.

If you are found to be positive but asymptomatic, you may be given permission to transfer the insulation to hotels that allow it.

India

Tourist entry begins tomorrow.

Officially they still have a ban on regular commercial flights, but in practice there are flights via Dubai Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, and two weekly Air India flights.

It is important to note that you do not have to fly to Delhi - through the bay you can reach a lot of destinations in India directly.

Especially south of the Kerala / Cochin area much more convenient through the bay.

And Air India prices are high (about $ 900 round trip).

The visa is free for 30 days and is issued online.

It is necessary to fill out a health declaration before entering and of course PCR done 72 hours before.

Even the unvaccinated, recovering and children can enter India without the need for isolation.

In some cases (it is still unclear when) another PCR test is done on landing.

It is important to understand that there can be restrictions on crossings between countries within India - can apply for a vaccinator / PCR certificate, and in very very very certain cases there can be a ban on entry from one country to another, or short isolation.

I'll copy you the full post I wrote a few days ago about it.

Nepal

Unvaccinated tourists need to issue a visa in advance and isolation is needed.

Those who are resilient will be able to get a visa on arrival on 15/30/90 days.

It is mandatory to book a hotel for the first night, fill out a declaration form and perform a PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival.

The season for Nepal's high and famous treks is now over and will start again towards the middle of March.

Maldives

Tourists get a free visa for 30 days upon arrival in the country.

It is mandatory to book a hotel in advance, perform a PCR test within 96 hours before it is mandatory to fill out a health declaration form.

Japan

As of last Friday, vaccinated students and businessmen from Israel will be able to enter Japan with only three days of isolation.

It is necessary to arrange all the permits in advance and prove the intention to arrive in the country.

It is necessary to present a negative corona test and a vaccine certificate.

Vietnam

The country is planned to open up to vaccinated people who will be able to visit Phukok Island in the first stage, especially from the end of the month, in the first stage only in groups.

The Vietnamese government has stated that it plans to open several more destinations gradually, mainly in tourist areas, with the intention of reaching full opening only in June and July.

Cambodia

It is necessary to issue an electronic visa in advance for 30 days.

There is tourist entry with isolation for two weeks (unvaccinated) or one week (vaccinated).

All insulation expenses must be paid in advance, including hotel inspections, etc. - $ 1,000 per week, $ 2,000 for two weeks.

There have been reports of opening to unvaccinated vaccines in early December but at the moment this is not happening yet.

South Korea, Singapore, China, the Philippines and other countries are already preparing to open to tourists, although there are no opening dates yet and it could very well be that the countries will only open to tourists during the next year.
