Prime Minister Naftali Bennett this morning (Sunday) referred to the arrest of the Israeli couple in Turkey last week, saying that "these are two innocent citizens who accidentally found themselves in a complex situation."
According to him, he, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and other sources dealt with the issue over the weekend - and that he himself spoke yesterday with the two's family members: "Despite the difficulty, I asked them to be strong. We are with you."

In further remarks made by Bennett during the cabinet meeting, he referred to the approval of vaccines for children aged 11-5, and called on parents to vaccinate them as soon as possible.
"Of course I will take my little son, David, as soon as possible. Of course it is every parent's choice."
Referring to the corona plague in many European countries, including the Netherlands and Austria, he said that although the situation in Israel is encouraging, this does not mean that we should be complacent: "We must not rest on our laurels, we must keep our finger on the pulse."
