Colombia did it again, crowned world speed skating champion for the eighteenth time this Friday.
With 32 gold, 19 silver and five bronze medals, he achieved a total of 56 medals in the 2021 World Cup held in Ibagué, Colombia.
France placed second in the general table with 4 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals for a total of 18 medals.
Taiwan came in third place with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronzes.
With this championship, Colombia now has 18 world titles in the speed skating world.
For two decades, Colombia has had almost total dominance in the speed skating world championships from 2000 to 2021, it has only lost the 2001, 2003 and 2009 world championships.

The 2020 World Cup was not disputed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
