Container at the Neubiberger Gymnasium - local council concerned

According to a decision by the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, twelve forerunner classes of the newly planned grammar school in Putzbrunn are to be accommodated in the run-up to and during the construction phase from the school year 2022/2023 for a total of three years on the premises of the Neubiberger grammar school at Cramer-Klett-Straße 10.

Neubiberg - In the existing Neubiberg school building there is no space for the previous classes from the neighboring community.

It is therefore planned to temporarily accommodate the later Putzbrunn schoolchildren in grades 5-7 on the terrain of the hard court east of the triple gymnasium.

A container system with three full floors is to be created for this purpose.

As the Neubiberger municipal administration announced in the form for the meeting of its own building and transport committee, the ministry chose Neubiberg because there was no suitable space in Putzbrunn itself and the Ottobrunn grammar school was already busy with other tasks.

That is why Neubiberg was "obliged" by the Free State to offer these temporary room alternatives.

Unclear consequences for school operations at the grammar school

Commitment or not - there was still no “placet” in the committee for the planning this week.

As Mayor Thomas Pardeller (CSU) announced at the request of Münchner Merkur, the councils' questions about interim building construction have "not been able to be answered in the desired depth" so far.

The committee was particularly concerned about the effects that the previous classes would have on school operations at the Neubiberg grammar school.

In addition, they were not happy with the desired container solution and wanted to discuss alternative structural solutions.

This set of questions is to be discussed at the next meeting of the Building and Transport Committee in December.

Decision of the school administration association

The Neubiberger school management should be invited to the meeting as well as a representative of the school association.

But the mayor of Neubberg, aside from all concerns, also clarifies the limited influence of the community.

"The building and transport committee is responsible for the building law assessment, but not for school-related decisions," said Pardeller.

For the location of a new grammar school on Oedenstockacher Straße in Putzbrunn, the school association for state secondary schools decided at the time under the pressure that the two existing high schools in Ottobrunn and Neubiberg were bursting at the seams.

At least for the next three years things should get a little tighter in Neubiberg.
