People's mental health problems have increased in the pandemic. But the staff is not enough in the back and front.

People's mental health problems have increased in the pandemic.

But the staff is not enough in the back and front.

Freising

- Jugendhilfe Freising is working to the limit - that was the conclusion of the reports of various working groups at the PSAG general assembly on Thursday.

The psychological problems of the people are increasing, the staff is insufficient behind and in front.

The committed workers in the field of children and youth therefore found clear words: "The youth welfare service is at the attack, more is not possible!"

Due to the corona pandemic, the general assembly of the Psychosocial Working Group (PSAG) Freising had to take place online for the second time.

Since some speakers were canceled due to illness, the children and youth sub-working group only gave the minutes of the October meeting.

All work areas in the Catholic child welfare are well utilized, it said.

The abnormalities of the children and adolescents are increasing.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

New at the Birkeneck youth center: the e-school from first and fourth grade has started.

This offer is aimed at schoolchildren with increased social and emotional needs.

There is also an open all-day school.

The groups in Birkeneck are also busy, and many inquiries concern younger and younger children.

At Prop eV, outpatient assisted living is increasingly being used by young adults - in addition, consumers have recently noticed more and more heavily contaminated cannabis, which poses greater health and psychological hazards.

If Caritas was accompanied, there would be many difficult cases and continuous full utilization.

The summary of the most recent meeting: lack of staff on every nook and cranny.

More and more of those affected are receiving social housing proposals in Freising

Bärbel Würdinger from the Addiction Sub-Working Group also reported on the cannabis problem.

An alcohol action week is planned soon, during which anonymous biographies of those affected will be published.

In addition, the addiction group invited the drug search to their home.

What Würdinger urgently wants: A stronger mediation of the prevention project FreD from Prop eV by the police.

The complex psychological problems of those affected in the area of adult psychiatry are also increasing, as reported by Petra Rabus from the responsible sub-working group.

What is to be assessed extremely positively: More and more people affected in Freising receive a social housing proposal.

People with mental disabilities and simultaneous intellectual disabilities will also soon be able to take advantage of outpatient care for individual living.

This closes a gap, emphasized Thomas Winter from Lebenshilfe Freising.

Six places for people aged 21 and over who are no longer entitled to youth welfare are planned to date.

Some seniors were completely left behind

But the topic of media is still a huge topic, as the 2nd chairwoman of the PSAG, Vivian Rasemann, explained - in terms of protection, therapy, but also participation. Because some seniors have simply been completely left behind because not every elderly person has the necessary basic equipment. This topic is to be deepened in the coming year - in a face-to-face meeting, as everyone hopes. The new chairperson could not be elected in attendance, so the PSAG opted for an uncomplicated election via a show of hands in the chat.

Christian Jotter was unanimously re-elected as first chairman and Vivian Rasemann as second chairman.

"The ideas are there, we are a good team!" Emphasized Rasemann.

And Jotter made it short and sweet: "I'm ready for the next two years!"
