Giovanni Zarrella experienced anxious seconds on his big ZDF show when suddenly an unexpected guest entered the stage and interrupted the show.
Munich - Giovanni Zarrella was back on ZDF on Saturday evening to host the next edition of his new evening show at prime time.
Schlager fans got their money's worth, as did fans of German popers such as Revolverheld or Max Giesinger.
Especially with the Schlager stars, however, Zarrella delivered one or the other Italian-German duet, which caused storms of cheers among the audience in the hall.

One of them was definitely the duet with Ben Zucker.
At "great time" Zarrella's team conjured up a real fire show with a burning piano on the TV stage.
After the performance, both of them dragged themselves visibly and audibly out of breath on the talk couch and needed a moment to collect themselves before they resumed the conversation.
But when the time came, a big surprise awaited Giovanni Zarrella, which he obviously hadn't expected at all.
While the host is engrossed in the conversation with Ben Zucker, a man in a black suit suddenly enters the big show stage, the two exits to the left and right of the couch area leading towards the audience.
"Ladies and gentlemen: We have to briefly interrupt the broadcast at this point," he says amidst the audience cheers.
Zarrella is completely flabbergasted and looks confused into the camera.

“I'm terribly sorry,” says the surprise guest.
Then finally Zarrella recognizes him, jumps up and has to laugh out loud.
He says half questioningly in the direction of Ben Zucker: "This is Mark Keller".
And in fact, it is the actor and singer who leads him here on ice.

In the end, however, the scene takes a very nice turn for Zarrella, because: Keller didn't come empty-handed.
He presented the host with large framed double platinum awards for CD sales of his two albums.
Zarrella looks relieved, but still very upset.
Keller then picks him up again and delivers the next surprise: Suddenly a video greeting message from none other than the captain of the Italian national soccer team Giorgio Chiellini is played.
He congratulates Zarrella on his new show and says that he would also be supported in Italy.
"Guys, what are you doing to me," Zarrella's happy conclusion.
