Iraqi forces announced today that they have dismantled a terrorist network and arrested three of its members in Fallujah district, Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.
Alsumaria news website quoted a security source as saying that accurate information was received by the Military Intelligence Directorate stating that there is an active terrorist network within the Fallujah district that is planning a terrorist operation inside the district, explaining that after obtaining the fundamental approvals of the terrorism judge, three terrorists were arrested during an operation in the district.
In addition, a statement by the Security Media Cell stated that the security operation in Diyala Governorate implemented by the Diyala Operations Command through the army, police and the Popular Mobilization Forces for the second day in a row resulted in the discovery of a warehouse of explosive devices and 4 terrorist hideouts containing various materials.
The statement added that these dens were destroyed and the materials seized from the engineering units accompanying the forces executing this operation.
It is noteworthy that a large joint security operation was launched yesterday in the Diyala Operations Sector, with the participation of units of the army, the police and the Popular Mobilization Forces, with air support from the Air Force and Army Aviation in the Hamrin mountain range, Al-Fabara areas and neighboring villages.
