Hotelier Korbinian Kohler has new plans for his event arena in Kreuth-Weissach: The hall, originally designed for large events, is to become a play arena.

- Almost exactly eight years to the day, the bustling entrepreneur Korbinian Kohler opened the event arena at his Hotel Bachmair-Weissach with a lot of fuss and around 600 invited guests. With great effort, he had previously converted the approximately 2,700 square meter tennis hall into a multifunctional hall, in which events, trade fairs, well-known conferences such as the Ludwig Erhard summit, concerts and graduation balls have taken place since then. But obviously the marketing has not worked as well as the hotelier would have liked in the past few years. Because now Kohler has submitted an application for a change of use to the community of Kreuth: The event hall is to be turned into an indoor play arena including a restaurant.In the past, the building was used for this purpose during the holiday season, and the guest children were looked after here.
Conversion of the event arena: Hotel Bachmair-Weissach would like to attract more families
As Mayor Josef Bierschneider informed the local councils at the committee meeting, the Spa & Resort Bachmair-Weissach wants to focus more on families and individual guests in the future, and less on meetings and conferences.
Therefore, an additional attraction for children and young people should be created with an indoor leisure offer.
“This would make the hotel a unique selling point in the tourist offer,” said Bierschneider.
The special committee unanimously approved the motion.
Local children should also be able to use the play arena
Apparently 80 percent of the game facility is to be used by hotel guests and 20 percent by external - including local - children.
33 parking spaces have been allocated to the arena.
The event catering located in the arena is to be rebuilt in such a way that its concept matches the future play arena.
Hotelier Kohler wants to present plans before Christmas
When asked, Kohler was still covered with regard to the plans and their implementation.
Just this much: "For the Bachmair-Weissach Group, an important, new company is to be created here, the exact content and dimensions of which will be presented before Christmas."
