The police investigated a kidnapping case and arrested 7 people.
Earlier (6th), the police received a report that a 39-year-old man was suspected of being kidnapped during the delivery of virtual currency at an industrial building in Ngau Tau Kok District. The suspect asked the victim’s family to pay a ransom of 30 million yuan.
Later, the victim was found in Tai Po, injured and sent to hospital.
The police yesterday (13th) arrested 6 men and 1 woman, aged between 25 and 32, for "kidnapping" and "conspiracy to kidnap" suspects in connection with the case.
Senior Superintendent Arnold Chung, Chief Inspector of Crime Squad, Chief Inspector Chow Ka-man, and Senior Inspector Tang Jiahao of the West Kowloon Region Criminal Deployment Manager will explain the details of the case.
